Performance Artist
Q. When you were younger, what did you think your career would like? Is it anything like that now?
A. When I was younger I hoped I’d be acting in films and doing theatre. I had no idea that I’d be modeling, have an interest in directing or be doing any type of dancing let alone be a mom at 23. That being said I am impressed with the career path I’ve chosen and the new developments I’ve made as an individual.
Q. You dance. You model. You are a gorgeous young mom. It all seems effortless and you look damn good doing it. What are your tips?
A. Well, I put in a lot of effort but I do value grace and elegance and that’s probably why the way I live comes off in an effortless way. My main tips would be to take care of your mental health and be sure to do some type of self-care on a regular basis. For the past couple of years, I have been doing a list of things I am grateful for and desires I want to come to fruition and that has helped me be a more present and all-around better person. Also having a sense of humor adds so much color and happiness to things that can seem mundane.
Q. Dance vs modeling?
A. In dance, there is more room for self-expression but I also don’t partake in the conventional dance jobs. Most things I do are more performance-based with acting heavily involved. I do love modeling though, I like to help bring someone’s idea to life and becoming their muse. You also meet some badass people in the fashion industry.
Q. What advice you would give to the younger you?
A. To live every day with authenticity and KNOW YOUR WORTH.
Q. Is there a project you have worked on that you feel most proud of?
A. That’s tough, I am really proud of The Bygone, Nocturnal Animals and all the music videos I’ve done for artists like Lizzo and Muse. But I am really excited about this event I’m throwing in January. It's something that has the potential to be really special and be a game-changer for my career.
Q. What would you want to be the title of your memoir?
A. Be Piffy. It’s an inside joke that basically means to be extra and stand out.
